From egg-citing Easter breaks and sun-soaked summer holidays to our spooky Halloween celebrations, it’s been a year to remember. Looking Back on Another Memorable Season at Hendra Holiday Park
Another memorable and successful season has come to an end here at Hendra Holiday Park. It’s always bittersweet finishing the season — there’s a real sense of achievement knowing we’ve once again provided great experiences and lasting memories for our wonderful guests.
Hendra Holiday Park turns 54 next year – and we think we’re looking pretty good! We’ve been owned and run by the same families throughout this time and are proud to remain an independently owned park.
It’s been another fantastic year with many highlights. Let’s take a look back at the 2025 holiday season together.
Egg-stra Special Family Holidays in Cornwall
Hendra Holiday Park opens just before Easter, and we do what we do best – family fun holidays! Easter breaks in Cornwall with us are full of excitement, from Easter egg hunts with our special Easter characters to a full entertainment schedule that keeps everyone happy day and night.
We also ran our Little Adventures package during the spring off-peak season. This fantastic offer, perfect for toddler holidays in Cornwall, included tickets to Lappa Valley — Cornwall’s hidden world of play and trains — as well as a 4×4 taster session, free breakfast for children each day at The Terrace Bar and Restaurant, plus free swimming for toddlers and preschoolers as well as free Palm Beach Adventure Golf.
Couples’ Holidays at Hendra Holiday Park
Hendra isn’t just for families — couples love Hendra too! With our open spaces, award-winning grounds, and peaceful off-season atmosphere, it’s no wonder couples choose Hendra for a relaxing break in Cornwall.
From luxury lodges to a cosy base for exploring the coastline, Hendra has everything you need for a romantic getaway. We also offer an adults-only camping area, so grown-ups can fully unwind on the Park. Check out Pitch and Pause for our popular grown-up getaways.
Eating at Hendra Holiday Park
Each year we reinvest in the Park, and in 2025 we opened the new Beach House: Bar and Restaurant. Transforming the much-loved Mario’s Pizzeria into a stylish and relaxed venue, The Beach House still serves delicious pizzas (including the classic Mario’s 92) and now offers a tempting selection of cocktails.
The Beach House joins our other great places to eat on the Park, including our Fish and Chip Shop takeaway, the Terrace Bar and Restaurant (newly refurbished in 2023), and our ice cream shop, Always Sundae, which opened in 2024.
Summer Holidays in Cornwall at Hendra Holiday Park
Summer kicks off with the May half-term at Hendra Holiday Park, when we opened our brand-new Deck Bar. Expanded and refreshed, it quickly became a firm favourite with guests over the summer, featuring live music every night.
Our heated Oasis outdoor pool also opens at the end of May — always a much-anticipated highlight! We enjoyed a wonderful summer filled with top live music acts at The Deck Bar and fantastic entertainment, including returning favourites such as Titan the Robot, Merlin, Company B swing band, Johnny Cowling, Cornwall’s favourite comedian, and Kernoasis, our Oasis tribute band.
We were also thrilled to introduce new activities like pottery painting, Make a Bear, and Hendra’s Superheroes. Family holidays in Cornwall are made even more special with all the fun things to book during the summer months.
Award-Winning Holiday Park
We were absolutely delighted to receive the Gold Award from VisitEngland this year. During the August inspection, the assessor praised Hendra’s high-quality facilities, outstanding accommodation, friendly and professional staff, and immaculate presentation — including our award-winning grounds and floral displays.
The inspector commented:
“Many congratulations to the park and the team for achieving 18 years assessed with VisitEngland — an excellent milestone showing continued commitment to quality standards in hospitality. Hendra is a beautifully presented park, and the team works hard to ensure excellent standards at all times. Significant investment has once again been made across the park, with the redeveloped restaurant facilities being a major highlight of the visit.”

Autumn at Hendra Holiday Park
Autumn is just as busy and vibrant as summer here at Hendra. Our Little Adventures package returned for the autumn season, followed by the Newquay Beer Festival, which celebrated its 12th year at Hendra in 2025.
This charity festival, organised by the Newquay Lions, took place towards the end of September and featured an incredible selection of beers, ciders, gin, fizz, and non-alcoholic options.
The highlight of autumn is always our Halloween Spooktacular, running over October half-term. This year, guests enjoyed our spooky ghost train — with separate rides for younger and older children — as well as our pumpkin patch featuring Hendra-grown pumpkins, with carving sessions in The Venue afterwards.
Our Entertainments Team wowed with their fantastic Hocus Pocus show, and everyone looked amazing at our Halloween fancy dress competitions!
We ended the season with a bang at the Sparks Firework Festival, held at Hendra for the third year running. The spectacular display featured live music, performances, and plenty of festive food and drink.
Looking Ahead to 2026 at Hendra Holiday Park
The Quiet Space
At the very end of the season, we opened The Quiet Space — a low-sensory play environment designed for quieter, less stimulating play. Guests can collect a key from The Playloft and enjoy a private 30-minute session for their family or group.
We also now offer Quiet Sessions in the Oasis Fun Pool and at The Playloft.
Newquay Rocks
We’re very excited about the opening of Newquay Rocks in spring/summer 2026!
This new year-round family activity centre is a multi-million-pound investment and has received part funding from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Facilities will include a family climbing area, soft play, gym, and community event space — perfect for wet-weather days or active adventures.
This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with Cornwall Council responsible for managing projects through the Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme.
