Everyone will love Healeys Cyder Farm. Children will enjoy seeing the farm animals and taking a ride on a tractor through the apple orchards. The shop sells the famous Cornish Rattler and many other drinks, ciders and fantastic Cornish produce to enjoy back at Hendra or to take home. Why not visit the the tea rooms for a traditional Cornish Cream Tea?
The Lost Gardens of Heligan is one of Cornwall’s top family attractions. It is paradise for the green-fingered, with so much to explore. There’s traditional gardens, woodland areas, and farm. Heligan has the UK’s only outdoor Jungle and home to one of the longest Burmese Rope Bridges in Britain. Imaginations will be awakened at every corner, and when you need to rest you can enjoy Cornish food and drink in the cafe, or the onsite farm shop.
Cornwall Gold is in the heart of the Cornish countryside. Shopping fans will love the beautiful jewellery on offer here, where you can pick up a unique piece of Cornish jewellery to treasure.
Children are catered for with pottery painting, build a bear workshops and crazy golf. As always when in Cornwall, your food needs are catered for – tuck in at the Cornish Pantry, where taste-buds will be tantilised with the imaginative and delicious menu.
Bodmin and Wenford Railway is not to be missed. This ride will take you back in time, on a nostalgic steam adventure, as you chug through the Cornish countryside.
Eat…
At Hendra well-behaved dogs are welcome in the undercover Terrace Area of the Terrace Bar and Restaurant, which offers a fabulous choice of food, whatever the time of day.
Dogs are also allowed outside of the Mario’s Pizzeria and Fish and Chip Shop, as well as The Deck Bar.
If you want to eat at one of Newquay’s fabulous eating options, you are not short of choice because you have a dog. The Lewinnick Lodge has laid-back vibes, a great menu, complete with local seafood, and fantastic sea views.
The Mermaid is right next to Porth beach, great for pub food, pizzas by the beach and live music at the weekends.
The Fort Inn is in Newquay, with views of Newquay’s picturesque harbour and the bay. A firm favourite for all members of the family. Kids will love the soft play and adults will love the view and food. Winner!
