  • Who can stay in the adults-only section?

The adults only section is for over 18 only, for those who want a peaceful Cornwall getaway. Couples can stay and groups of couples!

  • Will there be children on the main park?

Yes we are still open to families on the main park, so there will be children on the park, but the Pitch and Pause camping area is adults only, over 18s only. You can access some facilities on the park (restaurants etc), as little or as much as you want to.

  • Can I still access the main park facilities?

Membership passes for the evening entertainment, are not included and is why there’s money off, so this excludes the facilities. You can access our 4 eateries on the park, which have 2 bars, and includes our new for 2025 Beach House, a bar and pizza place. As well as staying in Hendra’s award-winning grounds, tended to by our dedicated Grounds Team, and excellent link to public transport and facilities.

  • What facilities are available in the adult-only section?

There’s a dedicated adults only toilet and shower block, as well as pitches with grass electric hook-up, grass fully serviced pitches which, in addition to the electric hook-up, have a water point, grey water waste, and light.  There are also hard-standing fully serviced.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we do have pitches which accept dogs on the grassed pitches, subject to availability. There are certain breeds that we do not accept. For dogs we have a dog-walking field, a dog bath (in Pine facility block), as well as dog blankets and dog treats available to buy in the Terrace Bar and Restaurant. Cornwall is very dog-friendly off-season, so check-out our page on dog-friendly holidays.

  • What facilities are there in the area?

This year, a new road has opened, which directly links Hendra to Nansleden, one of the most up and coming areas in Newquay. You can now access this area via foot, by turning left out of the site, crossing the road and then following the directions to Nansleden. Here you will find a range of facilities which are perfect for a couples holiday in Cornwall. There are boutiques selling clothes and homewares, as well as the beautiful Ladyvale bakery selling a range of decadent and delicious cakes and pastries, as well as Sabzi, a middle-eastern inspired cafe, offering fresh salads, cakes and more. Then there’s Shiva, a cafe and yoga studio. Selling fresh brunches and lunches, as well as pop-up events. Or maybe try a yoga class or sound bath at the Shiva studio, for the ultimate wellness getaway in Cornwall. Not forgetting Jackson’s: a wine and cocktail bar which also offers a variety of small plates and live music.

  • Is the adult-only section far from the main facilities?

The camping area is a 10 minute walk from the main facilities, maintaining a quiet atmosphere so you have a peaceful getaway.

  • Is Hendra close to the beach?

Yes! Hendra Holiday Park is just a mile and a half away from the beach, the closest probably being the iconic Fistral beach, which is also a wonderful place to spend your couples holiday in Cornwall. Fistral has a range of brilliant shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, not forgetting surf hire and lessons at the fabulous Fistral Beach Surf School, for those who like some adventure.

Newquay has 7 fantastic beaches to explore with wonderful public transport links from Hendra.
