Cornwall Holiday on a Budget.
Being on holiday doesn’t have to be expensive, and this May half-term, we have some budget breaks, just waiting for you to snap up! With week stays from £25.75 per person per night and short breaks from £32 per person per night, you can visit Cornwall without breaking the bank.
Self-catering accommodation certainly helps to curb the cost, and with our classic holiday homes you have everything you need to make your favourite meals.
What’s more, there’s so much included in your stay at Hendra Holiday Park, you won’t have to spend lots of money to keep everyone entertained.
Day 1 – Porth Beach
Morning
Start your week with some classic Hendra fun. Ride the Hendra Land Train with Henry and Henrietta, then head to the pirate ship, Henry’s Playloft or the younger children’s play areas. Older kids can jump straight into the Ninja Assault Course (ages 8+).
Afternoon
Pack a picnic and head to Porth Beach. With calm waters, soft sand and fantastic rock pools, it’s ideal for a relaxed beach afternoon. Paddle in the shallows, explore the rocks or stroll along the sand while the kids burn off energy.
Back on park for food and a chilled evening.
Day 2 – Lusty Glaze Beach
Morning
Enjoy a slower morning on park – perhaps a swim in the heated outdoor pool, followed by skate and scooter time or revisiting favourite play areas.
Afternoon
Head to Lusty Glaze, a tucked‑away cove with a relaxed, sheltered feel. Scenic and peaceful, it’s perfect for sandcastle building, gentle paddling and soaking up the views.
Finish the day with bingo, live music or family entertainment in The Venue.
Day 3 – Great Western Beach & Town Time
Morning
Dive into the action at Oasis Fun Pool, one of the South West’s biggest indoor fun pools, with three flumes and river rapids. Hendra guests can book and enjoy all the splashy fun from under £5 per person.
Afternoon
Head into Newquay town and spend the afternoon at Great Western Beach. At low tide it’s perfect for paddling, beach games and traditional seaside fun, with shops and cafés nearby if you fancy a treat.
Evening back at the park with food on site and relaxed family time.
Day 4 – Towan Beach
Morning
Make the most of what’s included on park – soft play, outdoor play areas, the skate park or another go on Ninja Assault. It’s a great chance to revisit favourites at a slower pace.
Afternoon
Head into town for an afternoon at Towan Beach, right beneath Newquay. Golden sand and views of the iconic island make it a firm family favourite. At low tide, explore further along the beach or simply relax and watch the waves.
Evening entertainment in The Venue guarantees smiles all round.
Day 5 – Fistral Beach
Morning
Enjoy a calm morning on park – breakfast, play areas and time to recharge before heading out.
Afternoon
Make your way to Fistral Beach, Newquay’s most famous beach. Watch the surfers, enjoy a coastal walk or take in the dramatic Atlantic views. The wide open sands make it ideal for older children and those who love space to explore.
Back at Hendra, treat yourselves to a fish and chip takeaway or a relaxed night in.
Day 6 – Watergate Bay
Morning
Start with some final park favourites – perhaps another swim, Land Train ride or skate session.
Afternoon
Head to Watergate Bay, known for its huge sandy beach and big skies. Perfect for long walks, kite flying and letting the kids run free, even during busier half‑term days.
Return to the park for live music, family entertainment or a quiet evening together.
Day 7 – Crantock Beach
Morning
Enjoy a laid‑back morning on park, soaking up the last bits of Hendra fun – play areas, a final swim or simply relaxing together.
Afternoon
Finish your week at Crantock Beach, just across the Gannel estuary. With sweeping dunes, open sands and a more natural feel, it’s the perfect beach to end your Newquay adventure.
