May in CornwallÂ
Run to the Sun 2024, 24th â 27th May.
Run to the Sun has been revived, in a new location, it returned last year after several years of absence. In the late 80s and 90s, RTTS was one of the biggest events in the Newquay, and one to the rowdiest. Now it has gone back to its core values: custom cars, and music. This is a ticketed event, but it is also a nice weekend to see these beautiful vehicles drive around the Newquay coast.
2024 English National Surfing Competition, Watergate Bay, 4th â 6th May.
When on the north coast, watching the surf is a must, and witnessing a surf competition is a bonus. Watch some of the best surfers compete and ride the waves at Watergate Bay. This event will see junior and senior shortboard, longboard, SUP and bodyboard divisions.
Cornwall Street Food Festival, Barrowfields Newquay, 24th â 27th May.
Back for 2024, after a successful 2023, is the Cornwall Street Food Festival. Held on Newquay Barrowfields, the Festival has breathtaking views across the ocean. Here you can listen to live music, while enjoying the views and having your pick of cuisines from all over the world. Tickets are only £3 per person, plus a £2 booking fee, which includes a reusable cup. Under 18s are free.

The Big Newquay Markets, 1st of June
Taking place on the first every month in the summer, this market is on the Killacourt, in the centre of town, with views over the Bay. With around 50 of the most wonderful local creators and curators of crafts, design, vintage finds, as well as local food and drink, it is not to be missed. There is also live music and entertainment to enjoy, community fun and creative workshops. Get yourself, or someone, a truly local treat.
Royal Cornwall Show, Wadebridge, 6th, 7th and 8th June.
See Cornwallâs top agricultural show, along with local food, drink, crafts, clothes, fun and music. This show will give you a unique insight into another side of Cornwall, and its agricultural and rural life.
Watergate Bay Beach: Arts on the Beach, 15th and 16th of June.
This  is a free family festival held on the beach â whatâs not to love?! Thereâs no better place to get together, with theatre, dance, music and creative workshops. And… a 13-foot roaming puppet.

Pauloâs Circus from July 26th â September 8th.
The summer holidays have officially begun when Pauloâs circus arrives in town! This year the circus is next to Dairyland Farm. Expect more laughs, acrobatics, and stunts. There is nothing quite like a night at the circus.
Schools Out Disco! Newquay Killacourt, 27th of July from 1pm â 3pm.
Located in Newquayâs premier spot, this free event is a fantastic opportunity for the kids to dance off the excitement of the summer holidays, all while you enjoy Newquayâs fantastic views.

Newquay Boardmasters Festival, Watergate and Fistral, from the 7th â 11th of August
Newquayâs biggest event of the year returns, with the music side of the festival near Watergate, and the surf competition side down at Fistral. With headliners including Stormzy, Chase n Status, and Sam Fender, you can get day tickets as well as weekend ones. Down at Fistral, you donât need tickets to soak up the vibes, and explore the trade stalls, watch the surf and kick back on the beach.
