Easter is an egg-citing time to visit Cornwall, with so much to do throughout the Easter holidays! No matter what age your children, Cornwall has it covered with fun for all!

Lappa Valley at Easter weekend

In a Cornish Valley, Lappa Valley is in a delightful countryside location. An authentic Cornwall experience, this attraction is part of Cornish mining heritage. Children will love riding on the steam train down into the valley. When you get to the valley there are mini-trains, along with paddle boats, peddle cars, and outdoor and indoor play.

This Easter you can enjoy duck racing! Get your ticket and win Easter prizes. There’s also an Easter Quiz too, with eggs to be found and prizes to be won, all Easter weekend. Little ones who love trains and all things locomotive, will be in their Easter element, with the opportunity to sit in a real steam train throughout the day! Choo choo!

Camel Creek’s Easter Holiday Fun 

Camel Creek reopens with some new for 2024 features, including Merlin’s Magical Playground – a brand new outdoor play park, as well as Shipwreck Shores Adventure Golf, and revamped indoor play area! There’s also a brand new Hidden Garden Indoor Play area and café!

There’s the usual favourites open too, with an array of rides, for tiny tots there’s tea cups, clown coaster, toddler play cottages and more. Bigger kids will love the larger rides, from log flumes, roller coaster and vertigo – all sure to get that adrenaline going!

Animal lovers will love Camel Creek too, with stables, reptile house, pets corner and meerkats!

All Easter holidays there will so much on in addition to these awesome attractions. From the 29th March – 7th April enjoy Easter  meet and greets with the star of the season, the Easter Bunny! There’s an Easter trail and a live Easter Bunny show too! From 8th April – 15th April the fun continues with Family Entertainment Week!  Enjoy amazing shows from a variety of fabulous entertainers.

Newquay Zoo – discover a different kind of egg this Easter Holiday! 

Hundreds of animals, play areas, keeper talks, and all amongst 13 acres of subtropical gardens. Newquay Zoo is a must while staying at Hendra. Just minutes away from us, you can even walk to this attraction if you want to have a car free day.

This Easter the Zoo offers lots of additional Easter fun. In true zoo style, the zoo is offering an animal egg theme, with the opportunity to learn about a range of animal eggs. Discover eggs from tiny dart frogs to great white pelicans, by completing the Zoo’s free trail around the park. These seven eggs are hidden around the Zoo, waiting to be discovered using the Zoo’s new app. There will be daily Easter activities too, throughout the holidays.

Lost Gardens of Heligan – follow Lowenna the Lamb

There’s no better place to see in the spring than Cornwall’s most famous and beautiful garden. Spring reaches Cornwall first too, so witness new blooms as Heligan comes to life this spring.

What’s more, Heligan is celebrating spring and Easter with some brilliant events. Awaken your senses with the blossoming spring gardens, with the colours and smells of the season. Now is the time to reconnect with nature, on Heligan’s nature trail following Lowenna the Lost Lamb.

Collect your trail booklet from the Ticket Office and follow Lowenna’s adventure as it unfolds through the pages and on the story boards along the way.

At each trail point, you’ll find out about the next step of the little lamb’s journey and collect a stamp for your booklet.

Having left Lowenna safe and sound where she belongs at the end of her adventures, you are  invited to the Heligan Play Meadow Tent where a variety of crafts and activities await and maybe even a chocolate treat.

There are also more relaxed sessions available for those with sensory sensitivities.

The trail is available throughout the Easter holidays.

 

Healeys Cyder Farm, get a spring in your step on the farm

One of the most egg-citing times for a Farm attraction is spring, when everything comes to life. Home to Cornish Rattler and a range of other fantastic Cornish produce, Healeys Cyder Farm is the place to be this Easter holiday.

Children will love seeing the farms animals and tractor rides, and grown-ups will love learning about how cyder is made, and tasting it.

This Easter you can enjoy the Easter Egg Trail, and Farm story time with warm apple juice. New for this year is the mini farmers tour for kids! Please check the website for information on prices.

 

Bodmin Jail, a darker Easter Holiday experience

If things are just a bit too, fluffy, cute and happy, swap those pastel spring colours for some black, and visit Cornwall’s spookiest attraction.

Take a step back in time and learn about Cornwall’s dark side, with a tour around Bodmin Jail, where you can learn about the history of the Jail and what Victorian prison life was like, via the ‘dark walk’ through the jail.

This Easter you can follow the Easter Trail as you take a step back time, around the eerie Bodmin Jail.
