This beautiful harbour in Newquay is only a 5 minute drive from Hendra Holiday Park or a 40 minute walk! Sit and watch the world go by on the golden sandy beach, or treat yourself to a delicious snack from the pop up street food stands throughout the summer. Climb the harbour wall and look out over the bay of Newquay, with stunning views over to Watergate, Lusty Glaze and of course, the iconic Island house of Towan beach. While you’re here, watch out for fishermen bringing in their haul – the seals and dolphins love to follow!
Holywell Bay, Newquay

This mystical beach in Newquay with it’s unusual rock formation is the location of a hidden well, thought to bring health, wealth and luck to any who bathe in it! The beach is home to sand dunes, deep caves, and plenty of spots to frame a beautiful photo. Brave the climb through the dunes and along the coast path to see the rocks from above, or walk down to the sand and search for the ancient well… oh and look out for the shipwreck at low tide, which transforms the beach yet again, and provides a moody frame for the rocks from ground level.
St Michael’s Mount, Penzance

This magical Cornish castle in Penzance is the perfect place to step back in time. Wander across the tidal-controlled causeway, climb the mount, and explore the ancient halls of the castle, filled with history, romance, and sea views out of every window! If you’re feeling brave, take the steep steps to the battlements at the very top, and snap an incredible (and windy!) photo over the ocean, with the sandy beaches of Penzance in the background. This dreamy island has also been the filming location for the big screen over the years, including the new Game of Thrones series!

With plenty of coastal spots to pause and take a photo, this area is a great place take that instaworthy photo. In springtime, the Cornish sea pinks flourish on the cliffs, creating a beautiful frame to any image. Afterwards, why not head into Padstow and explore the fishing village? Wander the coast path, take a cycle on the camel trail, or explore the streets with an array of independent shops, pubs and unique places to grab something tasty to eat. St Ives harbour is a picturesque fishing village that has hosted millions of tourists over the years. It’s unspoilt appearance, cobbled streets and fisherman’s cottages have been the muse for artists all of the world. The town is filled with art, culture and of course The Tate gallery, right on Porthmeor beach. It’s a wonderful place to take photos from every angle, while enjoying some local culture. Or maybe you could take a boat trip to see the town from a different perspective.

Lands End at St Just is an iconic location that has been shared across the world, and it’s no wonder! The signpost is one of Cornwall’s most famous landmarks, and people have travelled across the world to have their location taken here. The ‘End to End’ challenge from Landâs End to John OâGroats is a staggering 800-mile journey covering the entire length of Great Britain â and plenty of people make the pilgrimage each year. There are over 130 recorded shipwrecks around Landâs End, so be on the lookout for ghostly apparitions in your photos!

Port Isaac is well known for being the setting of the fictional Portwenn in Doc Martin, but did you know it’s also the home to the original Fisherman’s Friends? The famous group – and the inspiration for the popular movie filmed in the same area – are known for heading down to the harbour for an impromptu performance. Why not treat yourself to fish and chips on the sand and see if they arrive to entertain you?
