Easter is a great time to visit Cornwall and with the spring season in full swing, you and your family will have plenty of activities to keep you occupied. From egg hunts to scenic walks, there’s something for everyone. Here are some of the best Easter fun activities to do this spring:
1. Easter Egg Hunts
This is a no-brainer, and
we have egg-citing chocolate egg hunts right here on site for you! You will get to hop onto the Hendra train and search for eggs that the Easter bunny has left behind. Make sure to book your slot to save any disappointment!
If you want to travel further afield, why not head over to Lanhydrock and solve the clues located throughout the beautiful gardens and estates to win your very own chocolate egg.
2. Easter Baking
Easter is a time for delicious treats. Why not bake some bunny-themed cookies, cupcakes, cakes or even hot cross buns with the family. Get creative with the decorations, and involve the kids in the baking process. It’s a great way to create memories and make tasty treats for you and your friends to enjoy.
3. Join in at Bodmin Jail
If you’re feeling brave, Bodmin Jail have some exciting and fun-filled Easter activities for you and the whole family to get involved in. From Victorian Easter Egg hunts to storytime to tours around the jail, we’re sure that you’ll enjoy every moment. They have activities running throughout the entire Easter holidays so don’t miss out!
4. Get Crafty
Join us in The Venue for some Easter themed arts and crafts so you can take them home and show your family and friends! We will have some enjoyable entertainment on the stage whilst you’re busy creating!
Or you can get creative at home or in your caravan. You can make Easter cards, decorate eggs, create Easter baskets or make your own Easter-themed decorations.
5. Visit Flambards
Flambards are hosting a big Easter Egg Hunt with Ferdi the Fox on Sunday 9th April and have lots of different Easter activities throughout the holidays. Join Ferdi and his friends in a quiz trail, where they can track down Ferdi’s hidden clues and win the chocolatey prize.
6. Head down to the beach.
Cornwall is famous for its beautiful beaches, and spring is a great time to explore them. With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to pack a picnic and spend the day by the sea. Some beaches that we would recommend include Fistral Beach, Crantock Beach, and Watergate Bay.
7. Take a scenic walk.
Cornwall is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, and spring is the perfect time to explore it, especially to walk off your chocolate treats! From coastal walks to woodland trails, you can enjoy the blooming flowers and fresh spring air. You can also go on a nature walk and try to spot some birds and wildlife. Some of the most popular walks nearby include the Watergate Bay Coastal Path, Pentire Headland and the Gannel (but check the tide times!).
8. Watch an Easter movie.
If the weather is rainy, there’s no better way to spend it than curling up on the sofa and watching an easter-themed movie like Peter Rabbit, Rise of the Guardians or Hop! It’s a great way to relax and spend time with your family.
9. Visit Newquay Zoo
Many local family attractions offer special spring events during this time of year. At Newquay Zoo, you can visit the animals, and get involved in workshops and spring-themed activities. It’s a great way to spend time outdoors and make memories as a family. Newquay Zoo is hosting Easter Craft Workshops throughout the holidays so why not get involved!
10. Take a trip to Camel Creek
Just a 25 minute drive away from Hendra, you can enjoy the Egg-cellent activities commencing at Camel Creek this spring. You can meet the minions and enjoy story time with Bing! And for your chance to win a chocolate egg, you can get involved in the Easter trail by unscrambling their egg-themed challenge!
