January isn’t the most exciting month, for obvious reasons: Christmas is over, the weather isn’t festively cold, just cold, and often wet. It isn’t much fun, and even when it is over there’s February, which isn’t much better… but at least it is a bit shorter! But don’t despair – here are 3 things to be happy about this January.
A fresh year, means fresh plans, which means it’s time to think about your holiday for 2020
What could be better than a holiday in Cornwall? Hendra opens on March the 27th, which is the beginning of the Easter holidays. Spring is a great time to get away, and embrace those much longed-for long days, along with some better weather. It isn’t as crowded as summer, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do on Park, with weekly entertainment and daily activities, and there’s lots to do in Newquay too, with numerous Easter activities at these attractions, in and near Newquay, including Newquay Zoo, Lappa Valley, and The Blue Reef Aquarium. All of these are in our welcome magazine offering exclusive discounts to Hendra holiday makers.
Summer in Cornwall is something special, with so much to do in our Cornwall outdoor playground. Cornwall has beaches galore, with nearby Newquay having 7! Perfect for surfing, swimming or just chilling. Walkers will love the coastal walks, with jaw-dropping views.
There are blooming beautiful gardens, such as The Lost Garden’s of Heligan. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are one of finest gardens in England.
In summer there’s a lively atmosphere and plenty on throughout Cornwall to suit the whole family, with festival season in full swing. There’s lots of festivals to choose from such as Tropical Pressure which celebrates the rich cultures of Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, near the sea, garden fete style festival The Great Estate, along with bigger festivals like Boardmasters, and Tunes in the Dunes, which hosts international acts.
In the summer at Hendra, we have live cabaret on each night throughout the season at The Venue, along with live acts in the summer outside Mario’s opposite The Deck Bar; a perfect place to watch the sun go down while having a cold drink.
Autumn is always awesome, with crunchy leaves, fresher days, and the days are still long enough to enjoy Cornwall after the crowds of summer have gone. Cornwall is a bit more peaceful – you are sure to find a little slice of Cornwall all to yourself.
Halloween at Hendra is loved by guests and staff, with so many activities including the Hendra Ghost Train – a Spooktacular journey around the Park – who knows what ghouls and monsters will be lurking?
Whatever time you choose to come, we are sure you will love a Hendra holiday in Cornwall – whatever the season. There’s no better way to beat those January blues than by booking a holiday!
It is the perfect time to book, with lots of offers available
We have made booking a holiday more affordable after the Christmas spend up, with excellent early booking offers available to customers who stayed with us in 2018 and 2019 – we would love to see you again for our 48th season!
You only have to put down a deposit now, which means that you get that buzzed up feeling of booking a holiday without the anxiety of spending too much money after Christmas. Here at Hendra we have a low deposit and the opportunity to pay in instalments, with balances due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Booking early means that you can spread out the cost, making it all the more manageable and relaxing, and you also get exactly what you want and not risk missing out later or having to settle for something last minute.
We are a step closer to spring
There is a light at the end of the tunnel! The days are getting longer and the glorious long days return, and, best of all, the sun comes out! Things start blooming again, the daffodils pop up, and before you know it is time to eat lots of chocolate again and celebrate Easter, by which time you have probably stopped that strict January diet. Hooray!
