Summer is here, and there is plenty happening in Cornwall! We’ve complied the best things to do in Cornwall this Summer, including festivals, fireworks and family fun days!

Don’t miss our fabulous Fireworks displays every Thursday at dusk to celebrate our 50th Anniversary! They will be held in our Blackberry field and are sure to provide a magical show for all the family.

 

Go Wild with Beano at Eden! ?

23rd July – 4th September

Martian mega-monster CO₂-Zilla has landed and is threatening to destroy the world! Visitors can team up with Dennis, Gnasher, Minnie and friends on an epic quest to defeat CO₂-Zilla, rebel against climate change and Go Wild for the planet. Follow the trail around Eden to track CO₂-Zilla, discover its weaknesses, and learn ways to reduce CO₂ and save the climate! Take part in 6 epic activities around the Eden Project and explore the magical biomes with plenty to do for kids and the whole family. Read more here!

Meet your favourite superheroes are Camel Creek Family Theme Park, Wadebridge. This family park is perfect for little ones, with rides, animals, play parks and shows in their arena! Find out more here.

Falmouth Week ⛵

5th – 14th August

Taking place across the water and throughout the town, Falmouth Week has is a prominent sailing regatta in the Southwest! See yacht races and a lively programme of shoreside events. Experience their Pink Wig Event, Air Display, Fireworks and Falmouth Marching Carnival!

National Marine Week – Radical Rockpool Ramble at Fistral Beach Newquay ?

7th August

Come along to this rockpooling event and discover the magical world of the ocean! Read more about this activity on their Facebook events page. Don’t forget to wear something that you don’t mind getting wet! If you can’t make this event, don’t worry! You can go rockpooling in Newquay anytime, all you need is a net, a bucket and an inquiring mind! Just be careful not to disturb the wildlife too much as these are their homes, and remember to put them back into the pools after handling.

Boardmasters Surf and Music Festival, Watergate Bay Newquay ?

? Experience the music festival at Watergate Bay, and head down to Fistral Beach Newquay to watch the surfing championships! Fistral Beach comes alive during this week, with pop up food stalls, bars, gift shops and live music. And even better – all events at Fistral Beach are free to attend!

The Pirates of Perranporth visit Healey’s Cyder Farm Truro! ☠️

12th August

At intervals between 12pm and 4pm Davy-Jones & his swashbuckling crew will be at Healey’s Cyder Farm for a chat, photo and even a free tasting of Spiced Gold Rum and Scrumpy in the Healeys Tasting Room! ? The event will be raising money for the RNLI. If you book your admission to the farm online you automatically save 30% on your tickets.

Perranporth Airfield Inflatable Theme Park ?

13th – 14th August

An amazing selection of inflatable rides and special appearances from Minnie and Mickie Mouse! This unique theme park will be based at Perranporth Airfield Cornwall, along with other activities and food and drink on site!

Fowey Regatta and Carnival Week ⚓

14th – 20th August

Fowey Regatta and carnival week is a packed full of sailing, cars and celebrations! As well as the annual sailing competitions, you can see Carnival processions, fireworks displays, the crab-catching competition, Fowey harbour swim, the Giant Pasty ceremony and pasty-eating competition, flora dance and Fowey Town Band. Plus live music every night on Town Quay!

The 2022 Crantock Bale Push ?

9th September

One of Cornwall’s Craziest Fund-Raising Events! The Bale Push Man returns for his 21st year to do what he does best in the name of chairty! This fun event has a great atmosphere, and this year they are raising money for the Young Lives vs Cancer and Parkinson’s UK [Cornwall] as well as other local groups and organisations, so it is well worth a watch!

Little Orchard Cider Festival 2022, Truro ?

9th-11th September

A festival of music, cyder and food at Cornwall’s famous farm and brewery! The festival is based at Healey’s Cyder Farm, Truro, the home of Rattler Cyder, and this festival is the perfect way to experience it!

Dinomania Weekend at Hendra Holiday Park! ?

17th and 18th September

Go hunting for fossils, become a ranger, and then join us on the Sunday for live performances from huge life-sized dinosaurs, Baxter the T-Rex, Tiny the Triceratops and the babies! Newquay Beer Festival at Hendra Holiday Park Cornwall ?

23rd – 25th September

Newquay Beer Festival – hosted right here at Hendra Holiday Park Newquay – is the event of the season! Enjoy a superb group of musicians, bands and entertainment – and plenty of local ales and ciders for you to try. As it’s located here at Hendra Holiday Park, you won’t have far to walk home after the celebrations are over!

Porthleven Mermaid Day as part of Porthleven Arts Festival ?‍♀️

25th September

The second annual Porthleven Mermaid Day will see mermaids from across the South West and beyond join the Porthleven Mermaid in her home harbour for a mass swim at high tide at 5pm! There’ll be mermaid meet and greet opportunities throughout the day. The event is part of the Porthleven Arts Festival running from Sept 24th – October 2nd.
