Staycations are popular with families, less travelling and all the things you need can be put into the car. Also, when you get to Hendra Holiday Park, you have so much to do on the Park included. We have entertainment every night, along with free play areas, our free outdoor pool and our free Land Train which goes around the Park each morning with our hippo mascots, Henry and Henrietta.
There’s also a free land train in to Newquay each morning, and it comes back at approximately 4pm each day. There’s 3 events on here which are right in Newquay town centre, and are completely free!

Big Newquay Market, 2nd of August
The Killacourt is in the heart of Newquay. A prime spot of green grass, shops, and area for markets and entertainment, all overlooking the beautiful bay, and harbour.
Come and see over 50 local, and unique stalls. Enjoy contemporary Craft & Design, Home & Lifestyle Wares, Vintage & Salvage Finds and Local Food & Drink. There is also live music & entertainment to enjoy, community fun and creative workshops. The Market is on from 10am – 4pm.
Schools Out Party at the Killacourt, 26th of July
Get down to the Killacourt and celebrate the start of the summer holidays with a fantastic Schools Out Disco! This fun-filled event is perfect for families and children looking celebrate that school’s out for summer!
Dance, celebrate and let loose, from 12 – 2pm.

Cornwall Pride, 30th of August, 10am – 6pm
Celebrate diversity, and enjoy this inclusive and fun event all about celebrating our differences, by being together. Expect rainbows, sparkles, and dancing on the Pride march through the town at 12pm, with the world’s largest Pride flag.
Here you will see a colourful range of people, and see musicians, drag queens and dancers, on the Killacourt. As well as food and drink refreshments, Pride merchandise, stalls, and support places.
The whole event is family friendly and celebrates the LGBTQ+ community in all of its glory.

Seaside Cinema, 22nd of July Lusty Glaze
When in Cornwall… go to a beachside cinema! Lusty Glaze hosts some fantastic family favourites movies on the big screen.
With Moana at 5.30 and Wicked at 8.15 on the 22nd of July. Bring your blanket and chair, cosy up and enjoy food and drink from one the food outlets down here. You can also bring dogs.
Summer at Healeys Cyder Farm, from the 24th of July
Enjoy a summer packed with activities, tours and apple themed fun suitable for all the family.
Healeys will run a ‘Treasure Trail’ and ‘Farm Story Time with Apple Juice’ activities daily, alongside fun Tractor Rides.
Access to the restaurant, farm animals and visitor shop is free of charge. Kids Fest at Camel Creek, from the 28th of July until the 30th of August (except Sundays)
This summer enjoy the ultimate family-fun day out at Camel Creek, Cornwall’s family adventure park.
