Having Paulos Circus in town has become as synonymous with summer in Newquay as having a barbecue on the beach while watching the sun go down: it is a summer experience that must be had while in Newquay and this year is no different.
Rockets Tour
The Circus has been in town from mid-July and is here to stay until September the 7th. Paulos Circus is minutes from Hendra, just left out of the site and the first exit off the second roundabout (near Morrisons). There are lots of show times to choose from, with afternoon and evening performances. Each year Paulos Circus put on a brilliant show with updated and new acts. We took the opportunity to visit with two young children for the ‘Rockets Tour’.
The Big Top
Arriving at the big top with the bright colours, lights, smells of popcorn and excitement in the air certainly stirs the senses and makes you feel nostalgic. The children were already mesmerised by the lights and size of the big top, before the show even started.
Brilliant Acts 
Acts included all the circus favourites and more with tight-roping, a clown, knife throwing, trapeze, a real-life superhero, and to finish the show off a brilliant light show – a firm favourite for the whole family.
The little ones were absolutely transfixed. Having enjoyed the circus as a child, the best thing about taking children is that you get to enjoy it again through your children’s eyes, which is why we will always go to Paulos Circus when it is in town. It is not to be missed!
