After the summer finishes, Hendra Holiday Park still has so much on, as well as having some quieter autumn breaks available. There’s just so much to do over during autumn in Cornwall, with several fantastic events happening right here at Hendra Holiday Park.
Newquay Beer Festival, 20th – 22nd September 2024
Newquay Beer Festival returns to Hendra, for its 11th year, from the 20th of September, with entertainment on the Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. This charity event is held right here at Hendra Holiday Park, just behind the Oasis Fun Pool.
Held by the Newquay Lions this event raises money for local charities. Enjoy live music by local acts, as well as food stalls and over 100 different beers and ciders. There’s also Chrissie’s Sunshine Bar, which sells Cornish gin and cold fizz – perfect for a late summer’s evening in Cornwall!
This is a charity event held by the Newquay Lions and is ticketed. You must book tickets online here. No walk ins are permitted.
Dinosaur Weekender 5th – 6th of October
Returning once again is our Dinosaur Weekender! You can book a stay at Hendra Holiday Park and attend all of the Dinosaur themed weekend’s different events. On the Saturday just turn up to the roarsome dinosaur trail with our Dino Ranger, AJ. Explore Hendra’s grounds and look out for dinosaur clues!
Also on Saturday, book the Dinosaur T-shirt printing for £7.50 per child. Children will love creating their own dino t-shirt – a super souvenir of the Dinosaur Weekender and also perfect to wear for the rest of the weekend!
On the Sunday book on to one of the performances for the Dinosaur Show. Meet life-sized dinosaurs here at Hendra Holiday Park along with Arts & Crafts afterwards. The interactive show will transport you 65 million years back in time to when dinosaurs walked the earth, featuring masterful puppetry, facts and lots of laughs.
This event is included in your stay when you are staying at Hendra Holiday Park, providing that you have membership passes. All events can be booked via the online Booking Activities system, from two weeks prior to your arrival date.

Halloween Spooktacular – from the 21st of October until the 1st of November
Hendra’s Halloween Spooktacular is one of our guest’s most anticipated events of the year. Taking place during October half-term, in the weeks before we close, we like have a horrifyingly good time!
There’s lots of frighteningly good entertainment on, with Halloween themed fun, and of course scary fancy dress! Visit our Hendra Pumpkin Patch, all grown on the Park, and pick a pumpkin. Take your pumpkin to The Venue and carve your spooky design, ready to put outside your holiday home or on your pitch, to get into the Halloween spirit!
Create some Halloween Arts and crafts too: will you create something magical or monstrous?! The choice is yours.
We have our Hendra Ghost Train too: the highlight of our Halloween Spooktacular. Dare you ride this terrifying train? By day the Hendra Land train is a genteel ride around the Park with Henry or Henrietta, but at around Halloween, from dusk, the Hendra Land train gets a terrifying makeover! Climb aboard and brace yourselves for ghouls, zombies and creepy creatures jumping out of the bushes!

Sparks Fireworks Festival at Hendra Holiday Park, 2nd of November
We have to end the season with a bang! Returning for the second year is the spectacular Sparks Festival. All held right here at Hendra Holiday Park.
Come and join us for our last weekend of the season and be right next to the festival (tickets for the festival are to be purchased separately here). Expect an amazing firework display, music, performances, food and drink stall and Neon Show!
