Everything you need to know about your upcoming holiday

Your holiday is just around the corner, and we cannot wait to welcome you to Hendra!
We’ve tried to include as much information as possible regarding what you might need to know about your holiday.

Plus, scroll down for discount codes to local attractions!

When you arrive at the park, please head to Holly Car park (first exit off the roundabout) to park up, then head to Reception to check-in. The reception team will be on hand to provide you with your welcome pack and give you all the information you need to have the best holiday here at Hendra.

Once you’re all checked in, you’re welcome to use any of our facilities whilst you wait for your accommodation to be ready. How about heading to The Terrace for a spot of lunch or you could head in to Newquay and explore the town. Once your keys are ready, we’ll send you a text to pop back to Reception to collect them.

Key collection is from 5pm, but if you’re a touring guest then you’ll be able to head to your pitch from 12pm.

Check-out is at 10am.

Dine in

Dine in at Mario’s or The Terrace Bar and Restaurant  (tables cannot be booked and tables are allocated on a first come, first served basis). You can also dine-in in your accommodation and we’ll bring your meal straight to your door.

Dine out

Dine back in your accommodation, with takeaway from the Fish and Chip Shop, Mario’s Pizzeria or The Terrace Restaurant.

*Please note, orders for the fish and chip shop will need to be placed at the counter.

Dine alfresco

Sit alfresco in our Deck Area, Or if you fancy a takeaway, our Fish and Chip shop is open daily from 5 pm. You can also take away from the Terrace too!

Don’t forget that Katie’s Hotpots will be joining us in peak school holidays for delicious home-cooked dishes.

Our entertainment venue opens every evening from 5pm with live music, performances, gameshows and more!

Book your swimming sessions!

You can book your swimming sessions for the indoor Oasis Fun Pool 2-weeks in advance of your arrival date.

Simply head to our booking page and select ‘Resident Booking’.

You can also book swimming sessions when you’re on the park. However, please be aware that sessions may be more limited and booking in advance is advised.

On-Park Activities

The Hendra Land Train

The Hendra Land Train will be running daily at 9:00 am each morning from the Train Stop. Join Henry and the team on a trip around the park!

Plus, you can also hitch a free ride with the Newquay Land Train each morning at 9:15 am. The Newquay Land Train departs Hendra at 9.15am for Newquay town centre, where it will ride around for the day, before returning back to Hendra at 4:00 pm. (first come first serve, limited seating). The departing and returning rides are free to Hendra guests.

This is a free activity – no need to book, but there are limited spaces on the train so arrive early.

Hendra Mini 4x4s

Situated at the back of the Oasis Fun Pool, experience a thrilling drive around in this off-road vehicle, perfect for adventurous visitors. And if you have 2 little ones looking for fun, the second rider goes free!

Children must be supervised by an adult over 18.

Cornwall Segway

Join Cornwall Segway for Segway experiences across the park!

Situated at the back of the Oasis Fun Pool, they’ll be offering Segway tours around Hendra. Experience the thrill of the Segway and join them on the Segway experience, you’ll start by learning the ropes, then they’ll let you loose on the course!

Dance Academy

Boogie on down to the dance floor. This dance class will be a good opportunity to dust off the dancing shoes, and even learn some new moves!

Design Your Own T-Shirt

Get crafty and let your creative side shine! An opportunity to design your own t-shirt, with magical fabric pens and a variety of stencils to help with inspiration. The perfect souvenir to take home with you! That way, you can remember this special holiday for years to come!

Arts and Crafts

Get messy with arts and crafts! Be as creative as you want to be with this fun daytime activity, including a special visit from Henry Hippo!

On-site facilities

Please note: We have gone cashless across most of the site – so please remember to bring a debit or credit card when using any of our facilities. You can still use cash at the Laundrette, Hendra Marketplace and the Arcades.

Our on site facilities are:

Terrace Restaurant and Bar – Open from 8:30am – 10:00pm you will be able to eat-in (you cannot book tables), eat alfresco at our outdoor seating, for breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply a drink.

Mario’s Pizzeria – Grab a yummy Italian pizza at Mario’s Pizzeria. Pick from a selection of tasty choices! Open in peak season from 5pm daily. In off peak times, they are open Wednesday – Sunday: 5:00pm – late, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Fish and Chip Shop – Tuck into a tasty Fish and Chips supper! Available for takeaway only, head to the counter to order. Open in peak season from 5pm daily. In off peak times, they are open  5:00pm-10:00pm, and closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Venue –  Enjoy live entertainment every evening! Live music, star acts, tribute bands, stage performances, magic, quizzes, kids entertainment, and of course, bingo! Check the full schedule online and on the display boards around the park for timings and act information.

Valentis Ice Cream Shop – Closed on Monday, open 1pm – 8pm, Tuesday – Thursday and 10am – 9pm on Friday – Sunday. Subject to change: please check the boards.

Hendra Marketplace – Open daily the marketplace is stocked with all the essentials, including hot pastries each morning!

Our Oasis indoor pool – Open daily 10:00am – 6:00pm. Please book your sessions in advance online.

The Hendra Train – runs at 9:00am each morning from the train stop by the skate park.

Newquay Land Train – runs from 9.15am each morning from the main roundabout into Newquay, and leaves the town centre at 5.00pm to return to Hendra.

Henry’s Playloft – Take your little ones to the soft play, let them burn off some energy whilst you sit back with a nice coffee. Open from Monday – Thursday 9am – 2pm, and Friday – Sunday 9am – 5pm.

Amusement Arcades – We have 3 amusement arcades on the park, one by Henry’s Playloft, one inside the Terrace restaurant, and one inside The Venue.

What to do and where to visit?

Cornwall is full of fabulous places and secret sites to explore. But if you are looking to visit any of our local attractions or eat and local restaurants we would recommend booking ahead. If there is a particular place you would like to visit, do check-out their website prior to arrival to see what measures they have in place and how to pre-book. Flambards

The Lost Gardens of Heligan

Visit this famous garden, rediscovered in the 1990s, after being ‘lost’ since World War One, this huge estate has over 200 acres to explore. There’s a range of gardens, from pleasure gardens, productive gardens, and a jungle, with its own Burmese rope bridge. There’s also lots of woodland, wildlife and a farm. Keeping you safe on site

Although COVID restrictions have been removed in line with government guidance, we have protective screens in some facilities, along with hand sanitising stations. The use of face coverings are welcome when visiting indoor areas across the park, but they’re not mandatory.
