Stay…
Whether you are camping or touring, or staying in one of our holiday homes, we have something to suit your taste and budget. With our new Grand Premium pitches, for touring and motorhomes, our new for 2024 Watergate holiday homes, and luxurious and opulent Meadow Lodges. The Meadow Lodges are situated in the spacious and tranquil Meadow Retreat. Once you have pitched up or unpacked, start exploring the park.
Eat…
Hendra has four eateries on the park, so you will never be hungry for long.
Enjoy a Meal at the Terrace Bar and Restaurant
We have our recently refurbished Terrace Bar and Restaurant, which was completely renovated in 2023. Here you can sample our new 2024 menu, which features a range of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are options for kids, as well as Vegetarians, Vegans and those with other dietary requirements.
It’s Always Sundae!
For dessert there’s our new for 2024, Always Sundae, serving ice cream in a cone, tub or, true to the name, sundaes! Whatever you choose it will surely get you in to holiday mode. Locally sourced from just down the road at Roskilly’s farm, with all your favourite flavours, such as raspberry and white chocolate, chocolate, strawberry, mint choc chip and more.
Takeaway tonight?
Take your food back to your accommodation or even to the evening entertainment. Open from 5pm, most nights, we have the traditional fish and chip shop, sure to make your mouth water, after all a holiday by the sea isn’t done properly until you have had fish and chips!
Or takeaway a pizza from Mario’s Pizzeria, with a selection of delicious toppings, you are sure to get something that hits the spot. On pleasant summer evenings you can eat outside on the picnic tables, next to the outside play area, or in peak times you can eat whilst you watch the evening entertainment at The Deck Bar.
Let’s Play Outside!
There’s so much to do outside at Hendra, so that you can make the most of the holiday and enjoy the fun at Hendra’s award-winning, beautiful grounds.
Wonderful wildlife!
Here you can take part in one of our many activities, including the Nature Rangers,* where you will learn all about the park, get a certificate, work book, and your very own Ranger will guide you as you go. Or do our free self-guided tour, leaflets available at Reception, a great way to learn about the local wildlife, and see Hendra in it’s full glory.
Play Outside…
There are opportunities to play throughout the park, with our big pirate ship, which is one of Henry and Henrietta’s (our hippo mascots!) favourite spots. There is a smaller park for younger children and the pirate ship for older ones.
The skate and scooter park is the perfect place for burning some holiday energy. You can bring your bike, scooter or skateboard down here and practice your skills.
Adults can get involved too with our outdoor gym, and new for 2024, the whole family will love our Palm Beach Adventure Golf: our Hendra and beach themed 9 hole course.
There’s also a whole lot of activities that are on throughout the season outside, including the segways and Hendra 4x4s!
And for those really sunny days, there’s the dreamy Oasis outdoor pool with sun loungers.
Don’t forget to take our free land train around the park, leaving from the train stop each morning at 9am. Here you can meet the hippo mascots, Henry and Henrietta!
Play Inside…
When the weather isn’t as glorious as it usually is here at Hendra, then don’t worry, there’s still plenty of fun activities on every day.
We have our fun indoor soft play area, Henry’s Playloft, where kids can slide, climb, and squeeze through the exciting obstacles, whilst parents and carers can relax, and have a coffee.
There’s our arcades too, from VR, driving games, and everyone’s favourites, the 2p pushers! There are prizes to be won and fun to be had here.
What’s more, we have so many day time activities on too throughout the season, with arts and crafts*, circus skills and more.
There’s also our fabulous Oasis indoor pool, with three flumes, including the gentle green, rapid red (for the adrenaline seekers) and super 265ft blue ring ride! Oasis has river rapids and also a baby and toddler pool.
The Oasis has some brilliant activities on too, including the new for this year aqua jet skis and the return of the sea scooters!
If that’s not enough to keep you busy then also remember that we have other seasonal activities and entertainment on every night, with bingo, children’s entertainment, team shows and star acts!
