Dogs go free on a touring pitch for the weeks commencing 4th May 2019 and 28th September 2019.
The famous Newquay Land Train now has a new home at Hendra Holiday Park! Previously the train resided at Newquay Zoo. The train came to Hendra on July the 7th. The train will leave from the Park each day to give guests a free ride into Newquay.
The Train leaves at 9.15am from Hendra (at the taxi pick up near the roundabout) and the last train coming back will be at 4pm daily. Guests can get back on the train at one of the train stops in town. The stops are at Newquay URC Church on Bank Street, the Barrowfields and the Zoo entrance.
Hendra guests get £1 off the hop-on-hop-off service, which can be used to get around town throughout the day. The route for Newquay’s Road Train takes you past Trenance Gardens and Boating Lake, through the centre of town and back past Newquay’s stunning beaches. The road train allows you to see all of Newquay without climbing any hills and, having listened to the conductor’s commentary, you will know more about Newquay than most locals! There is a wheelchair lift on the rear carriage and the train can also carry pushchairs.
The Newquay Land Train has been travelling the roads of Newquay for 22 years. It comes to Hendra to live with our very own train, The Hendra Safari Train.
Harrison Haddrell said: “I am so pleased that the Newquay Land Train has found a new home at Hendra. Now both trains will be sleeping side by side and are both delighted to have a friend!”
Chris North, The Park Manager at Hendra, said: “Here at Hendra we are all very excited to have the Newquay Land Train on site providing our guests with transport into Newquay & then back to Hendra at the end of the day. Newquay Land train has been operating for many years and this is a very popular service. This extra service offered will enhance our guests experience whilst on holiday with us.”
All aboard the Newquay Land Train, choo choo!
