Jamming with Hendra.
The Cornish Bluegrass festival Hits Hendra for the 6th year running. The weekend once again saw hundreds of keen musicians and fans gather for three days of celebration, fun and toe-tapping. This year’s line up saw acts such as The Foggy Hogtown Boys from Canada; Corinne West and Doug Cox from America and Canada; from Germany L.Bow Grease and after storming our audiences last year, we welcomed back Spaniard Lluis Gomez and the Joan Pau Cumellas Band.
Hendra’s fantastic 500 seater cabaret hall was
transformed into a banjo and guitar picking palladium. Meantime, the
beautiful grounds played host to a huge marquee complete with hay-bales
for festive seating. There was much enjoyment had by all, including many of Hendra’s
regular guests who are now true converts. After all their participation
in the weekend’s great events, how could they not be?
The park certainly seems different now the sound of twinging and
twanging is no longer in the air. But we look forward to welcoming the Cornish Bluegrass Association back for their 7th annual party!
