Surfing in Newquay

Surfing in Newquay has been going on for years, but in the last 10 years its popularity has escalated!

The many sandy beaches are noted world-wide for their great surfing. Events and competitions are on throughout the summer at Fistral Beach.

Take your chances with the pros at Fistral Beach, or choose one of the many other beaches to dip your toe in the water on either your first surfing lesson or to master surfing on some of the other beaches around.

Towan Beach	Right in the centre of town. Beach huts, limited parking, food.
Great Western Beach	Surfing, caves and rock pools. Good toilets
Tolcarne Beach	Surfing, caves, rock pools, beach huts, organic food, award winning toilets.
Lusty Glaze	Surfing, rock pools, beach activities. Parking, good food, good toilets.
Porth Beach	Parking on beach, food, good toilets.
Whipsiderry Beach	Caves. No facilities.
Polly Joke	Caves and rock pools. Parking ½ mile inland. No road access, no facilities
