  • Bluegrass Beats

The Cornish Bluegrass festival came to Hendra for the 9th year running. Last weekend Hendra saw hundreds of keen musicians and fans gather for three days of celebration, fun and toe tapping.
Bands included Bluegrass regulars Flats and Sharps, who made a name for themselves busking in Penzance, The Buffalo Girls, an old-time country string band, and all the way from Spain the Barcelona Bluegrass Band.
Bluegrass at Hendra Hendra’s fantastic 500 seater cabaret hall was transformed into a banjo and guitar playing palladium. Meanwhile, our gorgeous grounds played host to a huge marquee complete with hay-bales for festive seating.
There was much enjoyment had by all, including many of Hendra’s regular guests who are now true converts.
The Park definitely seems empty now the Blues have gone and we can no longer hear the jamming down in Oak field, but we will see them again next year for the 10th anniversary!
